The Classic in Columbus will be a weeklong celebration of business, educational, multicultural and entertainment festivities complementing a battle of the bands and football game showcasing Historically Black Colleges and Universities, often referred to as a HBCU Classic.
The Classic will be part of the Black Alumni Reunion when African American alumni from traditional universities and HBCUs come together for a week of presentations, panel discussions, business and social networking in downtown Columbus.
Programs and entertainment will appeal to a wide range of demographic groups, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals, as well as entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs throughout the week, leading to the classic.

Organizations can earn a $15 per ticket commission with a minimum purchase of 250 football game tickets . Organizations will have access to advance sales for the best seats in the stadium.
The Classic can provide marketing and a venue where your organization can present a sanctioned event and keep 100% of the event revenue. Earn a $15 per ticket commission, with a minimum purchase of 500 football game tickets.
The mission of this committee is to quantify the level of support that the African American community in Central Ohio will commit to a HBCU Classic and make a recommendation to state and city leaders about the feasibility of hosting a 2021 Classic in Columbus as part of the post COVID-19 economic recovery plan to jumpstart retail, restaurant and hotel business. The committee is comprised of leaders representing the swath of African American organizations.
